✨One of the greatest joys of my work is seeing my brides shine on their wedding day. Recently, I had the honor of creating a gown for a truly magical celebration by the sea, at the bride’s beloved childhood beach — Braes Beach.
How would you describe your Mirka Bridal Couture experience?
My Mirka Bridal Couture experience was truly one of a kind! Having worked with Mirka before through modeling, I already knew how talented she is. I always dreamed of having her create my wedding dress. From the first fitting to the final details, the experience was personal, creative, and unforgettable. she brought my vision to life and with only 2 months notice, in a way only Mirka could.
Can you tell us a bit about your dress?
My dress is the most stunning fully lace gown with long sleeves and a high neck. Featuring a unique see through corset that mirka so perfectly designed. It perfectly blends innovation with the timeless vintage elegance I’ve always loved and adored. Mirka created a dress what feels both modern and classic at the same time.
When did you know you had found the dress for you?
I first saw a sneak peek of a new dress Mirka was working on, on her Instagram and I instantly knew it was the one I’d been searching for but could never find elsewhere. There was no question in my mind the moment I saw it, I knew it was my dress. It almost felt too good to be true!
How did you find the process of having a dress made to measure for you?
It felt incredibly special to have such a beautiful gown perfect fitted and tailored to me. From the very first fitting, I felt like the gown was being created just for me. every detail tailored to my body, my style, and my vision. Seeing the dress take shape, feeling the lace, and watching it come to life was truly magical.
Did you end up choosing a dress in the style you thought you were going to go for or was it something completely different?
My dress was exactly what I had always imagined. I knew the style that would suit me best, and this gown not only matched that vision but truly exceeded all my expectations.
How did you feel in your dress on the day?
On the day, I felt beautiful, confident, and completely myself. The dress made me feel comfortable while also bringing out the best version of me. Feeling my best especially for big events is something I really struggle with but Its elegance made me feel calm. It really was everything I had hoped for and more.
Tell us more about your big day / What was your biggest wedding inspiration?
Our wedding day was absolutely perfect. We got married at sea on two boats tied together, one of them being our own, surrounded by our closest family and friends in the bay of my childhood beach. A place I had always dreamed of getting married though I never imagined it would be on a boat! It couldn’t have been more magical, with dolphins jumping in the background, creating an unforgettable and serene atmosphere. The day was relaxed, full of joy and happiness, and truly felt like a dream come true. My biggest inspiration for the day were the boats themselves. Unsure at first how we would make it work but it turned out better than we could have imagined and it truly made the celebration intimate, unique, and entirely ours.
What is your favourite picture from your wedding day and why is this image so special to you?
My favourite picture from our day is of myself and my new husband sitting at the back of the boat after the ceremony, heading back ashore. Taking a quiet intimate moment for just us with the mountains in the background. It was probably my favourite moment of the whole day and I’m glad our wonderful photographer captured this for us.

My advice for future brides visiting Mirka Bridal Couture would be to fully embrace the experience and trust Mirka’s incredible talent. Be open about your vision, but also let her creativity guide you. she has a way of bringing your dream dress to life even better than you imagined. Enjoy every fitting and moment of the process, because having a dress made just for you is truly magical and unforgettable.
