Daryl came to us unsure of her vision, but together we created a stunning custom look inspired by our Grace gown — with a unique twist! 💫 We added voluminous tulle puff sleeves and incorporated the criss-cross back detail from our Florence gown to create a romantic, boho look that was perfect for her September wedding on the beach in Ibiza.
How would you describe your Mirka Bridal Couture experience?
I had an amazing experience at Mirka Bridal Couture. From my very first visit to try on dresses Mirka listened to what I was looking for in a dress. We got married abroad in Ibiza so I didn’t want a dress that was made of very heavy material due to the heat and Mirka knew exactly what type of dresses to recommend to me.
Can you tell us a bit about your dress?
As I mentioned, we got married abroad so I didn’t want a dress that was made of very heavy material. In the end I had my dress custom made for me because I’d fallen in love with 2 beautiful dresses! Mirka was able to create my perfect dress which was a combination of her designs the Grace and the Florence which I loved so much and felt amazing wearing on my wedding day.
When did you know you had found the dress for you?
I knew as soon as I walked into Mirka Bridal Couture that I would find my dream dress. I wanted a boho style dress to suit our abroad wedding venue in Ibiza. I felt amazing when I first tried on the Grace dress and it was made even more special for me by adding some different detailing on the back. I loved having a dress that was so different and custom to me!
How did you find the process of having a dress made to measure for you?
The process was so easy and straight forward. Around 3 months before my wedding, Mirka contacted me to go for my first appointment to have measurements taken. Following this I went for several appointments for fittings as the dress progressed. I was so surprised at the beginning how quickly she was able to make the dress! By my final fitting the dress fitted perfectly and was exactly what I had pictured.
How did you feel in your dress on the day?
The dress I chose was exactly what I was looking for to suit getting married abroad in Ibiza. I knew I wanted a boho dress and I had so many compliments on my wedding day from guests who said they had never seen a dress like mine.
Tell us more about your big day / What was your biggest wedding inspiration?
I felt amazing in my dress! I had sleeves during the day and took them off for our party at night too so I loved being able to have 2 different looks but 1 dress. I had so many compliments from guests and my husband.
My husband comes from a big family but we knew we wanted an intimate wedding which is why we chose to marry abroad in Ibiza. We had 50 guests which was our immediate families and closest friends and our day was everything we dreamed of. We spent the whole week in Ibiza with our nearest and dearest and would do it again in a heartbeat. We had a party when we came home to celebrate with those who weren’t in Ibiza and I couldn’t wait to wear my dress again!
What is your favourite picture from your wedding day and why is this image so special to you?
Favourite wedding photo - us on the beach
I love this photo so much because we went to the beach on our wedding day for a photoshoot with our photographer and spent a lot of time alone together and it was so lovely to soak up the day just the two of us as it really does fly by so fast!

Advice for future brides - enjoy the process! The whole process of planning a wedding can be so stressful and I felt when I was going for my wedding dress appointments that’s when it all felt so real and exciting. The process of having your dress made is so unique and I loved every minute of it. Tell Mirka about your ideas and vision for your dress but also listen to her advice because she is an expert!
